Kingdom's End

Kingdom's end was named after the ruins found on the surface of the planet. The race was reptilian and in a industrial age, archaeological finds have indicated they fought amongst themselves for many years, until a series of cataclysms destroyed their major population centers and reduced their population to a smattering of villages.
The Species still surives on the planet and the Solairen are looking to relocate them to the heated northen regions so Solairen engineers can continue to cultivate Kingdom's End.

There are several stations in orbit, mostly battle-stations desinged to protect the planet from a large scale attacks, as well orbital processing plants, supplying the surface with food, water and other mattrials from the astriod mines else where in the system.

Portal Energies rose at the coordinates given and a Harai battlecruiser Portalled out with Two Mars Battleships as cover. It had become custom for a Harai to be deployed as the lead for the guild diplomatic after neogotiations broke down with war making races (about 20 years ago, things had moved on, tradition hadn't).

Ambassador Gi Beren had been chosen, a older elf who had neogotiatied a number of critical treaties between the corporations, for a 169 year old elf, that wasn't bad, most ambassadors by then were stuck to office jobs. Gi also was rumoured to have contact with the high admiral, but that was never confirmed. She was wearing an official Guild Diplomatic robe, no weapons just a PDA. It showed faith in the security forces of the other race.

Two Oblivion class warships with cruiser and destroyer escort were on patrol in Kingdoms end, they were retasked to intercept the guild delagation and escort them to the Orbital battlestation OBS High Tide.
The Commander of the lead NIS Empire sent a message requesting that the Guild ships follow his ship to their assigned berth.

Arc was waiting in the confrance room on the High Tide, along wih three other high commanders and the High Admiral, which deferred to Arc. Arc by all rights should have been promoted to High Lord Admiral years ago but refused, he didn't even want to be promoted to High Commander but he job in the navy was at risk if he didn't so he promoted to High Commander.

The Diplomatic ships followed when they were about 4 kilometres away, they dispatched a transport with 2 heavy fighters protecting. "OBS high tide, this is Guild diplomatic transport 012-889. Requesting dock." The pilot requested over the channel.

"This High Tide STC, if you will cut your engins you will be tractored into the stations dock, my aplogises but you don't know our docking procedures" the STC officer replied from the High Tides command center, his tone of voice was cool.

Around the station flew Saber-class starfighters, these were medium wight fighter, carrying four Sub-fusion/Plasma repeating cannons and 32 missiles stored on internal racks, but they could not our run lighter fighters and were not as armed as heavy fighters.

"Roger, engines cutting now." Came the pilot. The two heavy fighters broke off and returned to the Harai. The diplomatic transport came to a full halt and waited to be tractored in.

Two large craft settled over the transport, they were much larger than a transport of drop ship but smaller than a Capitol scout or destroyer but were simply bristling with weapons.
The two gunships slowly and carefully dragged the Guild transport into the stations internal docking bay. It was a large sphere with a tower like building at its center, that was the citadel, it was the command center of a station or large ship and as such was well armoured.

The gunships dropped the transport into its assigned docking berth, the arms closed around the transport and the Gunship left for their patrol outside the station.
A docking board extended and attached to the hull of the dropship, at the base a team of marines with a Swordsman (Naval rank) was waiting to take them to the conference room.

Gi stepped off, to her left was a more business looking elf holding a PDA. Behind them were two guards who stood to attention at the transport. "Their not coming with us, it's more tradition for the Guild guards to 'hand over' as it were, the diplomatic party." Gi explained, her tone was crisp and to the point, yet there was a hint of pride in such a tradition.

The Solairen marines stood in white armour, they didn't move except to trun to face Gi and her guards, they were most likly talking via their interal short-wave comms.
The Swordsman steped up to Gi. "Welcome to the High Tide Miss, I am Swordsman Havon, I and my team will be your escort to the officers in the confrance room" the officer replied, cool, clear and to the point.
Around them pilots, officers, crew and other personal were going about their duties, seemingly unawear of Gi and her personal.

Gi bowed politely "Then please, lead the way." She asked of him politely, and to the point.

Havon moved off, as Hi fell in behind him his marines boxed her in by standing around her, they were only escorting her. Havon was silent as he did his job, after a short while they came to the Confrance room that seemed to be in one of the extended arms of the staion.

The door to the room slid open, the room was colder than the outside, Arc stood up at the table and gestrued Gi in.

Gi entered with her deputy and calmly bowed. "I am ambassador Gi." she calmly introduced herself. "this is my deputy ambassador." The deputy politely introduced herself "Deputy Ambassador Herij Kilp. A pleasure to meet you."

Arc nodded, "I am High Commander Arc" He replied, Three more of the officers stood up. "I am High Commander Haven" the first stood up, "I am Lord Commander Jelgon" the second officer said, the last officer said nothing but his unifom and rank insignia inecated he was the highest officer in the room.
"Please sit" Arc offiered politlely.

Gi did so, then Herij followed. "A rather nice planet to choose to defend." she complimented. "We only got a breif look, but we can see why you would."

"Yes it is quite temprate, but really we have having some trouble with th local population, but they will be delt with, but anyway on to other matters" Arc replied.

"indeed." Gi agreed. "From the reports from the captain of the GNS liklika, you would like to open diplomatic channels." Came her statement as Herij handed her a PDA with the information. "It's more of a case of what sort of channel you would like to open?"

Arc nodded, he was clearly the leading Solairen member even though two of the officers outranked him. "Well right now the Imperium is fighing the Resistance wars else where in the universe, so we have no need for new enemies, so I suppose it would be a open channle for all diplomatic relastions, from trade to diplomatic talks" Arc responded, he sounded as though he had been told that before he netred the room, but Gi could see he was no fool.

ALICE appared beside Arc, "And don't be alarmed by her, she is just the my perosnal AI unit, much ike you have a PDA, just mine back chats" Arc joked looking at ALICE.
"Oh Sir, you know how to flatter me" ALICE responded.

"A PDA that backchats. Rather interesting, in the guild our computers tend to give us the data with reccommendations, and some are deadly annoying, especially the elevators with personality's." Gi joked. "But yes the Guild can agree opening channels on all subjects, within reason of course."

"Define within reason please, I suspect we have different definitions of that" Arc replied. ALICE hovered an inch over the table, her blue transucent body emanting bule light.
She looked the Guild member up and down, seemingly scanning them.

Gi looked at her calmly before looking at Arc. "Certain... out spoken companies tend to delay neogotiational channels or requests." Gi explained. "The Xeno Relations Minister tends to be able to remove such opposition, but it takes time. That's what I mean by within reason."

"Very well, then shall we start on what our nation wants from the other and what laws apply" Arc asked.

"well, seeing as we are on your station, I will let our hosts state their desired outcome and what laws apply." Gi gestured for Arc to say first.

"Le est Romana publica, sea sest cus guild" ALICE spoke in Solairen, it sounded vaguly like latin of Earth. "La dust croma hest sroma kep roma" Arc replied to his AI compaion.
"I must aplogise, for my rudeness, ALICE was just reminding me of the Impriums chartter" Arc said to Gi. Arc stood up and guestrued to ALICE, she waved her hand and the rooms lighting dimmed to almsot utter darkness. A listing appared over the table, it was the New Impreium chartter, it was written in Solairen and had the Detuis Tribe signet at the top left.
"This is Solaire Chartter, this must be followed, it just states that no weapons may be transported in or out of Solairen space with out trading permission from the sector commander, illegal transporters are to be tryed by Solairen, not by their own nation but their verdict can be challanged, mutal respect must exsist fr any talks to occuer past these ones now, and a few others that need not be translated" Arc said, "Are these fair" he asked.

Gi nodded politely "They are fair and the Guild traders will be informed of this regulation." She replied.

"Vay pacum romus tied vor an" Alice spoke to Arc. He looked at his AI, "And territorial rights must be respect by both parties, traders are granted territory permitts to enter areas non-diplomatic ships may not, you may not agree to do this but our chartter demands we do, if you wish I can translate our chartter so you can read it in full at a later date" Arc asked, a small amount of cheer in his voice, he seemed to find some kind of enjoyment from these talks.
